Inspired by its mission focused on finding a cure for cancer, it was important to refresh the space to evoke hopefulness, positivity, resilience and community to welcome its employees each day and remind them of the lives that have been, and those that will be, impacted by their work.

Covering the halls, visitors and employees are met with stories and pictures of patient success stories of healing and recovery, as well as inspirational quotes from influential leaders such as Nelson Mandela and Audrey Hepburn.

In addition to bringing forth their mission throughout the design, it was equally as important to incorporate and celebrate its unique branding. Influenced by the company’s California roots, we developed separate identities for each branch of this office space using the location of a local landmark - PCH, North Shore, The Port - bleeding their true locality through each hall, lab and work space.

Now, when visitors walk the halls they immediately experience the true essence of the company, the people, and are reminded of the stories of lives impacted by the medical miracles realized within these walls every day.
